Henna hair dye question?

for about a year i have been dyeing my hair red w/ henna, and i like it and all but i want to grow it out because every few months my blonde roots show up....the only thing is that there is a major difference between the red and my dirty blonde hair and idk if i am willing to sacrifice a year of having ugly hair while i grow the henna out....has anyone had a similar experience? wat did u do?

Henna hair dye question?

Henna is a permanent hair dye and just like oth permanent hair dyes it is hard on your hair to have it removed.

You can fade it quite a bit with chorine/swimming pool and sunshine,

my recommendation is to let it grow out a bit, then cut it short. It would look cool with two tone hair for a bit, then you will be able to have your natural color completely a lot sooner.

Henna hair dye question?

yeah that will look silly and ive heard henna is a b*tch to get out. try going to a salon they can probably strip the color and give u something different. i wouldnt want to sit with half read and half blonde hair. yuk

Henna hair dye question?

maybe you can get highlight to blends in . that's less damage than get whole hair get color strip/ bleach...

Henna hair dye question?

Actually the only thing that you can do is to let it grow out. A salon can not remove a henna product because of the vegetable and mineral components of it. It will fry your hair if you try to use a remover. Henna color is extremely hard on the hair and is impossible to get ride of. Sorry to tell you the bad news....good luck
