My roots are showing, so I need to dye my hair black
again. I also want some blonde chunks in my hair. So,
I was wondering, if I bleached a couple chunks in my
hair, will I need to dye it platinum blonde, or will it already
be that color after I wash out the bleach? %26amp;, if I would have
to dye it after the bleach, can I do it in one day, or should
I just wait a couple days?
So, basically, my questions are, can I dye my hair black,
bleach chunks in my hair, %26amp; dye the chunks blonde in one day?
%26amp; if I bleach my hair, will I even need to dye it blonde,
or will it already be platinum blonde?
Please %26amp; Thank You :)
Can I dye my hair, bleach it, then dye it again in one day? you can, its not really good for your hair. but its possible. ive done it. dyed, bleached, dyed, bleached my hair in like 2 days. haha
Can I dye my hair, bleach it, then dye it again in one day? Don't do it all in one day. That'll damage your hair beyond belief.
[edit]
And to whoever is rating everyone else badly (ahem.) that is so rude and immature beyond belief. Some people work hard on their answers and don't deserve your immaturity.
Can I dye my hair, bleach it, then dye it again in one day? YOUR HAIR IS GOING TO FALL OUT MINE DID WHEN I BLEACHED IT
Can I dye my hair, bleach it, then dye it again in one day? First, don't dye all your hair black just do the roots. Bleach dries and kills your hair so i wouldn't do all of this in the same day. After you dye your hair black I would wait a few weeks and then bleach it. You'll need to use blonde dye or toner if you want platinum blonde because if you only bleach black hair it'll turn orange. Ask your stylist to show you samples of the blondes they have and she can use toner to get it to the color you want.
Can I dye my hair, bleach it, then dye it again in one day? Yes, you can.
And here's how:
Dye it black
Bleach the chunks(you might need to do it twice)
Dye them platinum blonde
Then, lather one the conditioner from all three or four boxes and let it sit for hours.
It helps to wrap your head in plastic wrap after you apply the conditioner, then take a hair dryer and shrink wrap your head, this will help the conditioner work better.
Then rinse, apply more conditioner, then rinse right away.
Your hair might need a hot oil treatment, since you will have damaged it.
I'd deep condition once a week for a month.
Then you're set.
Can I dye my hair, bleach it, then dye it again in one day? AHHH NO!!!! Your hair will be toooooo damaged, and you will hate it! TRUST me! I have a whole head of over processed damaged bleached hair....If I were you I would pull out the pieces you want bleached and not apply the black dye to that hair-only apply the black to all the other hair...Then I would go in and bleach the chunks! You probaly will have to tone the blonde to get the platinum look! Good luck!
Can I dye my hair, bleach it, then dye it again in one day? I'd say you shouldn't bleach you hair but you can dye it black. But your hair will be extremely dry and damaged so get some special shampoo for colored hair.
Can I dye my hair, bleach it, then dye it again in one day? Well what I would do is talk to my hair styler. See what he (or she) thinks. After all, he (or she) is the pro. Oh and if he (or she) says it's up 2 u, Get one of those dyes that washes out with this special shampoo. See if you like it and so if you don't no harm done!
Can I dye my hair, bleach it, then dye it again in one day? Your question kind of confused me a little in the beginning. Hah.
You CAN do that, but it's not recommended. I don't know how strong your hair is. I've bleached mine a LOT of times, and it looks fine. Like I never even touched it.
I say go for it. You won't have to dye the chunks blonde. Just take out the bleach when your hair looks as light as you want it because unlike regular dye which stops working after a certain point, it will work until it fries your hair right off.
It won't really damage your hair that much. Like, if you think about it, bleach is harsh, and dye is half as harsh. Unless you bleach your hair a lot, it'll be fine.
Crystal K has a good idea. That will help minimize the damage.
Can I dye my hair, bleach it, then dye it again in one day? first i will address your question about bleaching and platinum blonde.
when you bleach your hair from black, it wont go blonde right away because you're lifting 9 shades. even if you were a light brown already, bleaching your hair would only take it so light. it depends on the uderlying pigment in your hair. generally, when you are the lightest of shades, your hair will still be yellow. to remove the yellow and make it white (platinum blonde), you need to use a toner. if the highlights are yellow, you will need a blue-based toner. if they are more on the orange side, you need a violet shade toner. you use a toner to get rid of the unwanted pigment by using it's complementary colour.
the mroe time you give your hair between processing it, the better. although hair is not alive once it has grown past the scalp, it can still heal if given the appropriate environment.
a trick i use when giving a person highlights while bringing their base darker, is i do foil highlights but i use conditioner. so thye highlights you want to be blonde wont be touched. then, everythign thats not in foils gets the dark colour. in your case, black. once its washed out, i dry the hair, and bleach the hair that i put in the foils, that way it doesnt get the extra dose of colour that it has to remove.
if you know someone that does hair for a living, it would be best to ask them if you dont want to go to a salon. they can explain it to you in better detail. :)
Can I dye my hair, bleach it, then dye it again in one day? You can do anything you want but I would advise against it. I'm a hairdresser and bleaching is very harsh on the hair.
I would dye my hair black - wait a week (condition it good) then bleach the chunks. You may need to put a toner on your hair but you can do that right after bleaching it.
Remember all this will dry out your hair so you should use good products and not the grocery store stuff on your hair. Here are my favorites I can't live without....
1. Matrix - Moisture Shampoo - Great for color treated hair
2. Matrix - Conditioning Balm - Great to use at least 5 times a week. I also like to have one day were I keep it in for about an hour.
3. Rusk - Sheer Brilliance - Your bound to have hair damage and split ends. A great to cover that up it to use this when your hair is dry right before putting hairspray on. It will make your hair shiny and very healthy.
Also just a tip when ever you rinse out your condition try to use the coldest water possible. This will help lock in the conditioner by closing your hair shaft.
Good Luck....
Can I dye my hair, bleach it, then dye it again in one day? you should only dye once and bleach once in one day. it's not good to dye twice plus bleach.
if you leave the bleach in your hair long enough, it should be the blonde that you want.
