But if I don't, it just looks awful!!!!!. Please help, I even tried Deep Conditioning, %26amp; forget that too!!!!. My Hair is Baby Fine %26amp; Thin, is there any answer to this at all????, besides Cutting it all off????. I need all the Hair I have left.!!!!. What a mistake I made!!!!!.And my Hair is Dark Brown, would going to Light Golden Brown, help not show the Damage as much?? "Thank You".
Question for beauticians, got a Perm on friday, it's tuesday now, %26amp; I hate my hair %26amp; the way it looks ?
What's happened to you is completely normal. We've all been through it. This happens when you start washing your hair after a perm but before it settles down from what you've done to it.
First off, don't color over permed hair. You'll fry it immediately and it will literally crumble in your hands.
Don't cut it yet. Give it a couple of weeks to settle down. There's a wonderful product by Redken called "Extreme" that will put the softness and shine back into it and help repair some of the damage. Redken also makes a very good leave-in conditioner that has UV protection in it called "Sun Milk". It will also help strengthen and protect your hair.
For right now, work some styling gel into your hair when it's still damp. Comb your hair with a wide toothed comb and pull it on top of your head into a ponytail and let it dry. When you take down the ponytail, comb it gently just to get the hair into place. It's a great old trick that controls the hair in that first week after the perm and you can relax until it settles in and adjusts to the perm.

try going back to the place you got it done and asking for advice from them.

The beautician may have over processed your hair...don't chop it all off, when I give a perm I usually leave enough hair that I can trim the ends off after the perm, this will help the fuzzies to an extent. You may just need a trim, it will take the perm a week or so to relax so just try the trim first and use a good conditioner or an oil treatment. If you try a color treatment this soon after the perm it will only do more damage...........especially if you hair is dry from medications.
