I have blue/green eyes and red hair. My hair used to be really red but now it's fading to brown, should i dye it and if so which kind of dye? (I don't want it to show as it grows out...you know...roots)

I don't think you should dye it, ask your hairstylist if she thinks auburn highlights would look good on you. When I was a little girl I had bright red hair but over the years it's turned darker and my friends always told me I should get auburn highlights. Well I just dyed my hair black.

How old are you first of all? If you are still young, that's natural for your hair to change colors. But you should pick a shade that's closest to your hair color now, so it won't show the roots as bad.

Maybe you should try one of those hilight expressions shampoos that everyone has these days. If you use the one for redheads, it might work. And if you use it every day, the roots won't ever show.

If you get in the sun a lot, that might be your problem. If you want to dye it then thats up to you. But I will bet that the beautiful brown color compliments your appearance.

talk to your hairdresser, you can get professional advice from them and they can tell you the best solution, I dye my hair every 6 weeks at home and it's in great condition, red colours do fade more quickly than any others though.
