My skin and hair coloring (as well as my haircut) is very similar to Natalie Portman's natural coloring. I love her blonde highlights in the above photo and want to get the same look. I have naturally dark brown hair, hazel eyes and pale skin. I've never dyed/bleached my hair and I was wondering the best way to achieve her hair color. Should I seek a professional colorist who really knows what he/she is doing and show the colorist this picture? Is it possible for me to do this at home with a highlight kit considering I have almost not experience coloring hair? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

You could definately do that by yourself at home but if your scared dont take any chances. Just go in and get it done. Especially if its your first time dying your hair.

ive bleached my hair lots of times and screwed it up a lot.

but if you have enough patience then go for it.

be very careful though if you leave your hair a certain way while it has bleach in it might end up looking like steps.

if this is your first time bleaching i recomend a professional.

unless your like me and dont care, then do it yourself
