What kind of hair is good for me? pictures inside*?

I've always had short hair my whole life, and I don't know what kind of hairstyle would look good on me if i want to change it.

So I'm thinking of having longer hair, but not sure what kind.

My hair is thick and medium-dark brown. I'm also half Asian/White, and I don't want it to be too long because I run track and play basketball. Please provide photos and hairstyles if its not too much of a hassle. Thanks.
